India reported 50,848 new Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hrs, Union Health Ministry data showed on Wednesday morning. The daily positivity rate has come down to 2.67%
With 1,358 new deaths, the country’s death toll surged to 3.9 lakh
Active caseload declined to 6,43,194, the lowest in 82 days.
68,817 people were discharged in the 24 hour period. The recovery rate has improved to 96.56%.
Meanwhile, revised data from the Union Health Ministry showed 88.09 lakh doses of Covid-19 vaccines were administered on the record-breaking Monday and that 64 per cent of the vaccinations took place in rural areas.
