India-US 2+2 talks: Pompeo, Esper at Hyderabad House for discussions

India-US held their third 2+2 dialogue in New Delhi. US secretary of state Mike Pompeo and defence secretary Mark Esper met external affairs minister S Jaishankar and defence minister Rajnath Singh. The two sides signed the BECA (Basic Exchange and Cooperation Agreement), which Rajnath Singh said will open new avenues in the information sharing. Singh said their partnership becomes more important in view of current challenges. EAM S Jaishankar said the India-US partnership has become more relevant as it is particularly important to uphold the rules-based international order.
