India started off its one-off Day-Night Test vs Australia on a positive note on Thursday as the visitors were 132/1 on Day 1 before rain forced early stumps.
Smriti Mandhana carried on with her good form in whites as she remained unbeaten on 80 and is inching closer to her maiden Test hundred. Earlier, she put together a 93-run opening stand with Shafali Verma, who was out for 31.
This is India’s second test this year and its first-ever pink ball test. Interestingly, the visitors are locking horns against Australia in whites after 15 years.
