Air Force Day 2021: Indian Air Force(IAF) Day is observed each year on October 8th. It marks the day when the Air Force in India was officially established in 1932 as part of the Royal Air Force of the United Kingdom. The year 2021 will mark its 89th anniversary.

Just like every year, the Air Force Day parade-cum-investiture ceremony shall be held at the Air Force Station in Hindan, Ghaziabad. The hallmark of this parade will be a mesmerizing air display by various aircraft.

The motto of the Indian Air Force is "Touch the sky with glory." This is derived from Gita's eleventh chapter, the Discourse given by Lord Krishna to Arjuna during the Mahabharata's Great War. With this motto in hand, the Indian Air Force aims at overcoming adversaries with the application of aerospace power.
