Cricket Australia on Monday confirmed that they will tour Pakistan next year. Australia will play 3 Tests, 3 ODIs and a lone T20I in March-April 2022 and it will be their first tour to the subcontinent nation 1998.

The Tests will take place in Karachi, Rawalpindi and Lahore, while Lahore will be the venue for the four white-ball matches to be played from 29 March to 5 April. Cricket Australia CEO, Nick Hockley said in a statement that it will be a highly anticipated series in a country so incredibly passionate about the game and their national team.

New Zealand was to play a white-ball series in Pakistan ahead of the T20 World Cup, which was cancelled moments before the first game due to security concerns. It was followed by England also calling off its tour to Pakistan.
