New reports indicate that Apple is planning a new version of the iPhone SE. The new iPhone SE will reportedly be Apple’s last phone with an LCD display.
The new iPhone SE, which some call the iPhone SE 3, may ditch the iPhone 8-style design, including the front-facing home button and massive bezels on the top and bottom. Instead, the new iPhone SE 3 may feature a design like the iPhone XR, with a notched expanded display.
iPhone SE fans particularly like the series’ small form factor, but it remains to be seen what size the new iteration of Apple’s least expensive iPhone will target.
The redesign means that the new iPhone SE 3 will have to relocate the fingerprint Touch ID functionality, which will now be housed in the power button, like the iPad Air or new iPad Mini.

The new iPhone SE 3 will also feature Apple’s newest chipset, seen in the iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 Pro - the A15 Bionic, based on a 5nm process. The new chip will also add support for 5G.
Reports also indicate that the new iPhone SE 3 be launched at the same price as the iPhone SE (2020) across the world. In the US, the phone will retail for $399. In India, the phone may come in at the current Indian pricing of ₹39,900.
