Ashwin slams Morgan, KKR vs DC,
In a series of tweets, Delhi Capitals' Ravichandran Ashwini has slammed KKR skipper Eoin Morgan over his remarks during Tuesday's IPL 2021 game.
After being dismissed, Ashwin was seen in a heated argument with Morgan and KKR bowler Tim Southee. The two believed that Ashwin shouldn't have gone for the 2nd run at the end of the 19th over as the ball had hit DC skipper Rishabh Pant. The incident was later termed disgraceful by former Australia cricket Shane Warne as well, who called it against the spirit of the game.
Ashwin in his defence tweeted to say that he turned to run the moment he saw the fielder threw and didn't know the ball had hit Pant, but he would have still taken that since even if he knew it had happened. Am I a disgrace as Morgan said I was? Of course not added the off spinner.
Ashwin further said that In Morgan or Southee’s world of cricket they can choose and stick to what they believe is right or wrong but didn't have the right to take a moral high ground and use words that are derogatory.
