Ahead of the second leg of IPL 2021, Royal Challengers Bangalore announced on Saturday that their head coach Simon Katich had stepped down and Mike Hesson will now take on his position. Mike Hesson who is the former New Zealand Coach will also continue his duties as the Director of Cricket Operations for the RCB franchise.

Talking about the new development Rajesh Menon, Vice President of the franchise informed that the former Australian Player has stepped down due to personal reasons. He further announced the addition of Sri Lanka's Wanindu Hasaranga in the squad who will replace Australia's Adam Zampa. The UAE leg of the 2021 IPL will begin on September 19th with CSK playing the first match against MI in Dubai.
