J&K: Terrorist on way to kill shopkeeper gunned down by security forces

A terrorist was gunned down by security forces during a retaliatory firing in Jammu and Kashmir's Baramulla district on Thursday.

J&K Police said that the killed terrorist was on his way to kill a shopkeeper. He has been identified as Javed Wani from Kulgam district. Police said that Wani fired at the forces when he was intercepted and was killed in retaliatory fire.

The police added that the killed terrorist was also involved in the killing of two labourers from Bihar earlier this month.

Two labourers from Bihar were gunned down by terrorists in Kulgam district on October 17, taking the number of civilians killed in targeted attacks in J&K this month to 11
