When they broke into the house of a deputy collector in MP's Dewas, the burglars were hoping to find a lot. They were clearly disappointed and expressed it in a note that they left for the government officer.

"Jab paise nahi they toh lock nahi karna tha na collector," read the note that the thieves left at the official residence of SDM Trilochan Gaur.

The strange incident is being seen as challenge to the police as the officer's house is located between the bungalows of a lawmaker and another SDM Pradeep Soni and just 100-metre away from the residence of Superintendent of Police.

Police said that Rs 30,000 in cash and some jewellery was stolen from the government residence of Trilochan Gaur.
