Justin Trudeau calls PM Narendra Modi: India assures Canada of Covid vaccine supply

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau informed PM Narendra Modi about Canada's requirements of Covid-19 vaccines from India during a telephonic conversation on Wednesday.

According to a press release by the Prime Minister's Office (PMO), Modi has assured the Canadian PM that India would do its best to support Canada's vaccination efforts. "Was happy to receive a call from my friend Justin Trudeau’, PM Modi wrote on Twitter as he mentioned his assurance on supply of vaccines.

The  statement from PMO added that Trudeau, on the call said that ‘if the world managed to conquer COVID-19, it would be significantly because of India's tremendous pharmaceutical capacity’
