Kabul takeover: Govt calls all party meet on Thursday

Foreign minister S Jaishankar said on Monday that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has asked the Ministry of External Affairs to brief the Parliament floor leaders on the developments in Afghanistan.

The meeting will be held on Thursday.

India is evacuating its citizens stranded in Afghanistan and has been allowed to operate two flights per day from Kabul.

The Modi government has assured that it would also extend help to Hindus and Sikhs, as well as its friends in Afghanistan who need help.
