Questioning President Trump’s credibility, Democratic US Vice presidential candidate Kamala Harris in an interview to CNN on Sunday raised doubts over Trumps’s vaccine claims and said she would need a ‘credible source’ to vouch for the efficacy of the said vaccine. Harris bluntly put forth her distrust and said she would not take Trump's word alone.

With over 6 million infected, the pandemic is at the centre stage of the November 3rd U.S. presidential election. President Trump has been touting the possibility of a vaccine ahead of the polls.

Reports say US Centre for Disease Control and Prevention has been asked to reduce red tape to the make vaccine distribution network fully operational by November 1. The White House has been on defensive over such claims and has denied putting any pressure for speeding up the vaccine trials.
