Actor Kangana Ranaut has revealed the new release date as well as the new spelling of her upcoming film 'Thalaivi'.
The film is all set to hit big screens on September 10 and the previous title 'Thalaivi', has now been changed to Thalaivii with a double 'I'.
Earlier, the film was supposed to hit the screens on April 23. However, due to the second wave of Covid-19, the release date was postponed.

Kangana shared a new poster of the film featuring her and Arvind Swamy.
'Thalaivi' is a biopic of former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and AIADMK chief J Jayalalithaa, who was one of the most influential politicians in the country. Arvind Swamy plays the role of her mentor and former Tamil Nadu CM MG Ramachandran in the film.
Reports say the makers of the film have decided to go to the theatres, despite being offered a record price by OTT platforms.

After the theatrical release of the film, the Hindi version will premiere on Netflix and the other regional languages will hit Amazon Prime. 'Thalaivii' will be released in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu.
