Karnataka CM tests Covid positive, admitted to Bengaluru hospital

Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa tested positive for Covid-19 on Friday, for the second time in eight months. He has been admitted to Ramaiah Memorial Hospital in Bengaluru and will soon be shifted to Manipal hospital. He took the Covid test two days back as he had fever but no infection was diagnosed then. Earlier in the day, Yediyurappa had called an emergency meeting at his residence, to discuss the COVID19 situation. The state reported its sharpest single day spike of 14,738 fresh coronavirus cases and 66 related fatalities on Thursday.
