A killer whale, who swam with her still born for more than two weeks in 2018 in a sign of apparent mourning, has given birth once again.

Known as Tahlequah or J35 by scientists, she made headlines for her 'Tour of Grief' when she swam 1600 km around the Salish Sea off British Columbia.

Tahlequah was spotted earlier this week, northwest of Seattle and gave birth most likely on Friday, the Washington's Center for Whale Research released in a statement. Both the mother and the calf, called J57, appeared healthy and swam their way together.
