Italian luxury house Fendi announced that it has appointed British fashion designer Kim Jones as the artistic director of women's collections.
Jones will succeed Karl Lagerfeld who joined Fendi in 1965 and was its womenswear design chief since 1977, before passing away in 2019.
Jones will take on Fendi duties while staying the creative director of Dior Homme. The British designer will work with Silvia Venturini Fendi, who will continue to be in charge of creating Fendi accessories and menswear collections.
Kim Jones will display his first Fendi collection during the fall-winter 2021-2022 Milan fashion week in February.
