Indian batsman Rohit Sharma has been appointed as the brand ambassador of La Liga in India.
Rohit took to Twitter to announce the association and wrote that football holds a very special place in his heart. He further added that he is humbled with the appointment.
Spanish football league La Liga has been trying to build a brand in India for a few years now, thanks to the popularity of two of their biggest clubs Real Madrid and FC Barcelona.
Interestingly, Rohit had revealed ahead of FIFA World Cup 2018 that he was rooting for Spain. He had put an Instagram post, sporting the Spanish jersey.
