Farmers in Lakhimpur Kheri have refused to cremate the bodies of those killed in violence on Sunday till action is taken against the accused.
Videos tweeted by Kisan IT cell Twitter handle showed people sitting with four bodies in caskets and demanding arrest of the accused.
In another heart wrenching video from the same handle a group of farmers were seen guarding the bodies through Sunday night for the fear of forced cremation by the UP administration.
The UP Police have booked Union Minister Ajay Mishra's son Ashish Mishra for murder alongwith others. No one has been arrested yet. Ashish alleged ran his car over protesting farmers. He has denied being present at the incident site.
The farmers had assembled to block the visit of Union Minister Ajay Mishra and UP Dy CM Keshav Prasad Maurya's visit as they were upset over a recent speech by Mishra. Late last month, Mishra had brushed off the protests against the farm laws, saying it was a protest of "10-15 people and it would take just two minutes to make them fall in line".
