Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma informed via Twitter on Saturday that the Assam police, in coordination with the Dubai Police, has recovered a stolen luxury watch that belonged to late Diego Maradona.
Accused Wazid Hussein has been arrested at 4 am on Saturday morning from his residence and a follow up lawful action is being taken.
The accused had allegedly stolen the limited edition Hublot watch signed by Maradona when he worked as a security guard for a company that was storing the late football's belongings in Dubai. He then fled to Assam in August this year.
