The high-profile drug raid that led to the arrest of actor Shah Rukh Khan's 23-year-old son Aryan has yielded 13 grams of cocaine, 21 grams of charas, 22 pills of MDMA and 5 grams of MD, the Narcotics Control Bureau has said.
The charges brought against Aryan Khan include purchase, possession and use of banned substances, the agency said.
In court, Aryan’s lawyer Satish Maneshinde said Aryan was invited by the organisers of the party as a special invitee. He added that Aryan had been screened twice, and no contraband had been found on him nor was there any evidence of consumption.
The NCB, which has invoked bailable charges against Aryan and two others, said that there was material in the form of WhatsApp chats against the three, allegedly ‘showing nexus with peddlers and suppliers on regular basis’.
The court gave NCB one day custody of Aryan Khan, Arbaaz Merchant, and Munmun Dhamecha.
Aryan Khan was arrested on Sunday with seven others following a raid at a party on a cruise ship off the coast of Mumbai last night by the Narcotics Control Bureau.
