A day after the sudden exit of Navjot Singh Sidhu as the Punjab Congress chief, CM Charanjit Singh Channi said that the state party leaders should sit down and talk about the ongoing crisis. Channi added that he has also spoken to the miffed leader on Wednesday

Sidhu’s resignation was followed by a flurry of exits by his loyalists, bringing in fresh trouble for the Punjab Congress ahead of the 2022 assembly elections.

The resignations were submitted just days after the allocation of portfolios to the new ministers in the Charanjit Singh Channi cabinet.

Hours after Sidhu posted a video on Twitter explaining the reason for his sudden resignation, Channi said he has no ego and that he is ready to speak to him on all issues.

Sidhu wrote on Twitter that ‘a system of tainted leaders, officers cannot repeat’, expressing disappointment over the recent appointments of officials and leaders in the state government
