Birdnesting is the latest co-parenting trend in which a house remains the constant home for the children and the split-up couple takes turns living in it with them.
It's a simple concept where children stay at the same place instead of traveling to mom's or dad's for the weekend, and the parents visit the kids. This way children don't have to spend time traveling to and fro.
The trend is clearly kids-centric as it gives kids a sense of emotional security, allowing them to stay comfortable in one living space.
The dating trend was also shown in the comedy series 'Splitting Up Together' streaming on Amazon Prime Video.
