Many believe that plucking grey hair leads to more of them. Well, dermatologist Jushya Sarin busts the common myth with a post on Instagram.
Sarin shares that every hair strand is independent of the other. So, plucking one hair strand won't affect the neighbouring strands and greying of hair is natural and could be either due to poor nutrition or genetics.
However, she suggests using hair colour or cutting grey strands to get rid of them rather than plucking, as plucking damages the roots, causes inflammation and might create bald patches.
