In a world full of artificial, over expensive and chemical filled beauty products, Boroline has managed to maintain its originality and simplicity for years now. Winters or summers this cream is found on almost everyone’s bedside table.
But today let us tell you about the origin of this cream.
In 1929, a young entrepreneur, Gourmohan Dutta wanted to invent a Swadeshi (Indian) product that could be used by common people of the country during the British ruled India.
He combined ingredients like antiseptic boric acid, astringent, sunscreen zinc oxide and emollient lanolin beneficial in healing wounds, cracked lips, rough skin and generic skin infections. And that’s how boro + lin gave birth to Boroline whose popularity hasn’t faded even 93 years later.
For some of us it’s signature smell and the elephant logo are more a nostalgic emotion than just a cream.
