Moisturising the skin is the most essential step of our skincare and we do agree to that. No, matter how cloudy or sunny it is, just like sunscreen moisturising also plays a vital role in our skincare regime.

But, are you aware that over-moisturising impairs the skin's ability to hydrate? 

However, according to dermatologists over-application of moisturiser potentially inhibits the skin's ability to hydrate itself naturally. So, experts advise that using an excessive amount of moisturiser may result in the skin becoming dependent on external hydration. 

Similarly, acne-prone skin can exacerbate acne breakouts, as it may create an environment conducive to bacterial growth and inflammation. 

The right amount of using moisturiser

The right amount of using moisturiser depends on the individual skin needs and type, texture and climate. However, just a pea-sized amount of moisturiser is perfect for all skin types.
