Spanish clothing multinational retail brand 'Zara' faces criticism over its recent ad campaign 'The Jacket'.
Social media users criticized the campaign which has been widely compared to the Hamas-Israel conflict. Several sections of the internet said that the ad campaign photos resembled the impactful images from Gaza, sparking widespread discussions and concerns.
The controversial ad showcases model Kristen McMenamy carrying a mannequin wrapped in white cloth, drawing comparisons to photos depicting the aftermath of the Israel-Palestine conflict.
“Zara, shame on you, what a cruel, repugnant organisation you are! How could you mock the innocent murdered loved ones of others? This is sickening, and people from all over the world buy clothing from you,” wrote user on X.
