Take a look at some benefits of Turmeric for the skin:

Brightens the skin

Turmeric helps reduce dark patches and lighten the skin tone. The antioxidants and anti-inflammatory compounds in turmeric help improve the skin’s health.

Helps your skin glow

The environmental pollution and daily wear and tear wreck havoc on the skin, making your skin look dull. Regular application of turmeric can help you restore the natural glow of the skin.

Fights dark circles

Dark circles can appear for many reasons, including lack of sleep, stress, overexposure to the sun. Regular application of turmeric paste can help reduce dark circles. It also improves circulation, which further contributes to lightening of the skin.

Heals dry skin

Dry skin makes you look dull, especially during the harsh winter months. Along with the regular application of moisturiser, application of turmeric can improve your skin health by hydrating it naturally. It nourishes the skin, removes the dry and dead cells and makes it glow.

Helps to tackle acne

Turmeric is one of the best natural ingredients effective against acne. The anti-inflammatory and antibiotic properties of turmeric help keep the bacteria away from acne breakouts. It also helps to reduce blemishes.

How to use turmeric on the skin

You can make a quick turmeric and milk face pack at home for daily application. For this, you will need one teaspoon turmeric powder and two teaspoons of milk. Mix it, and your turmeric face pack is ready. Now, apply the paste all over the face and neck and let it dry. Then, rinse it off with cold water.

If you’re using turmeric for skin lightening, then try this pack. Take a spoonful of turmeric powder and mix it with a few drops of lemon juice. Apply it all over the face and neck. Let it sit for 3-4 minutes, then wash it off.
