Contrary to the popular belief that one must use facewash twice a day, leading dermatologists are debunking the myth.
So, were we doing it all wrong?
Well, New York-based leading dermatologist Hadley King, says washing face twice a day is really not necessary and the skin type must be the deciding factor.
She says that people with dry or sensitive skin can wash their face once in the evening. However, oily skin is one that requires washing the face twice a day.
Skincare expert Cassandra Bankson too shared a video in which she notes that washing face in the morning is not required because skin's natural oil sebum is healthy and helps protect the skin.
In the video, she said people should skip washing their face in the morning so that the night care routine mixed with the natural oil that skin produces does all the right things for your skin in the morning.
