Foods provide us overall nutrition for the health of our entire body. Even for our eyes, we have certain food options that can help improve our eyesight. Now experts say that eating almonds with a spoon of fennel seeds at bedtime, can help improve the health of eyes.

According to experts, Fennel contains vitamin A, a crucial nutrient for maintaining eye health, while almonds have vitamin E and omega-3 fatty acids, which are also beneficial. Vitamin A is needed for the health of retina and vision in low light while vitamin E works as an antioxidant for the eyes that helps protect eyes from oxidative damage. Omega-3 fatty acids support the structure of cell membranes in the eye.

According to Ayurveda, Fennel seeds are also known as ‘NetraJyoti’ owing to their antioxidant properties that improve vision. These also help in keeping certain eye ailments at bay.
