The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) is back with yet another hack to check for food adulteration and this time it's for butter.

According to FSSAI, butter can be contaminated with starch which can lead to serious health risks. So, it is best to conduct an adulteration test before consumption. FSSAI recently shared a simple experiment on Twitter, and here's how it went!
Take some water or oil in two transparent glass bowls. Then add half a teaspoon of butter and 2-3 drops of iodine solution to the bowls. If the butter is unadulterated, there will be no colour change in the solution. Adulterated butter, on the other hand, will change the solution's colour to blue.
