Samosa lovers here's some good news for you! A recent report by Assocham, titled ‘Indian Cuisine at Crossroads’, stated that samosa is a healthier option as compared to burgers.
According to the report, samosa is made of healthier ingredients like cumin, boiled potatoes, peas, salt, chillies and spices, whereas burger contains preservatives, sugar, vegetable oil, mayonnaise and cheese which are harmful to our health.
However, the report also suggested that samosas are directly made of refined flour (maida) and to make burger loaf soft and spongy 'yeast' is added in refined flour. Also, burgers can be frozen and stored but samosas are always eaten fresh. Hence, samosas are way healthier than burgers.
