Navratri, one of the most auspicious festivals in India, is just around the corner. This year, Chaitra Navratri will begin on April 2. During the nine-day festival, people offer prayers and observe a fast.
While fasting, people indulge in delicacies made of sabudana, sweet potatoes, singhara atta and kuttu ka atta. So, if you want to pamper your tastebuds and get into the festive spirit, try the delicious Singhara Beet Ladoo recipe, as shared by Executive Chef Parul Kapoor.

Ingredients
100 gms Beetroot
50 gms Singhara atta
200 ml Milk
50 gms Sugar
50 gms Ghee
100 ml Hot water
5 gms Cardamon Powder
For garnishing: Cashew nut and pista
Method
Wash and grate beetroot
Cook the grated beetroot with milk and sugar till beetroot becomes soft
Add cardamom powder and cool it
Heat ghee and cook Singhara flour till brown
Add hot water, sugar and cook till it absorbs all water and becomes thick
Make a ball of cooked sweetened beetroot
Cover it with sweetened singhara mixture and roll it like a ladoo
Cut the ball into two and garnish with pista or cashew nut
