'Panchayat' actor Neena Gupta shares recipe for 'Lauki Jaabar' that's perfect for this summer

'Panchayat' season 3 is here and so is the 'Lauki' season. If you are a fan of this show then you'll know how actor Raghubir Yadav's character 'Pradhanji' is obssesed with lauki or bottle gourd. And now Manju Devi aka actor Neena Gupta has shared this amazing recipe of 'Lauki Jaabar' on her Instagram. Lauki consists of 50% water and is easy to digest and is therefore perfect for summer meals.

How to make 'Lauki Jaabar'?

Lauki Jaabar a Bihari dish and is perfect for this summer. In her video, Neena Gupta has shared the recipe for this dish. Grate a lauki and soak some rice. Cook both with minimal water. Simultaneously, prepare the tadka with jeera or cumin seeds, garlic cloves, coriander seeds, curry leaves, and a dash of red chili powder. Once mixed thoroughly, the dish is ready to be served. 

However, traditional lauki jaabar also has milk in it.

Neena Gupta will be seen reprising her character Manju Devi in the third season of the popular show 'Panchayat' on OTT platform, Amazon Prime Video. The third season released on May 28 which also stars Jitendra Kumar as Abhishek Tiwari (Sachiv Ji), Raghubir Yadav as Pradhan Ji, Chandan Roy as Vikas and Faisal Malik as Prahlad.
