This cheese from India makes place at the 35th World Cheese Awards

Great news for cheese lovers from the 35th World Cheese Awards, where outstanding cheeses from across the globe were celebrated. 

The 35th World Cheese Awards was recently held at the Trondheim Spektrum indoor arena in Norway. Cheese from across the world were recognised and a cheese hailing from India made it to the 4th position. 

Eleftheria Brunost is a as a “Norwegian style Whey Cheese that tastes like a salted caramel milk fudge with brilliant lingering toffee notes". It is a Mumbai based company and the cheese costs ₹400. 

Nidelven Blå, a semi-solid cheese with blue mold, delighted the judges, capturing both their taste buds and admiration and captured the position of the best cheese followed by Belgium’s Baliehof Houtlandse Asche Kaas and the Swiss cheese Eberle Würzig Seit 5 Generationen as the second and third respectively.
