Foodies love trying new dishes and recipes, and nowadays Middle Eastern delicacies are every foodie's fantasy. If you love them too, try out this recipe for crispy and fluffy falafels shared by social media influencer Ayushi Gupta Mehra (@the_foodiediaries) on Instagram.
Soak 1 cup of chickpeas for about 18 hours and pat dry them completely.
Now, blend these chickpeas with 1/2 cup of fresh parsley, 1/3 cup of fresh coriander, 1 small onion, 4-5 cloves of garlic, 1/2 tablespoon of cumin, coriander, black pepper and salt to taste.
Refrigerate the falafel batter overnight in an airtight container for the best flavour.
And, now when you're ready to cook, stir 1/2 tablespoon of baking powder and sesame seeds into the batter. Scoop out 1 spoon of batter and form round balls/patties and deep fry them until they get crisp from the outside.
Yummy, crispy and soft falafels are ready to munch. Serve them with hummus or any of your favourite dip.
