Food delivery giant Zomato has introduced a new feature on its app to help its customers make healthier choices. Zomato CEO Deepinder Goyal has informed about it through a post on X.

What is the new feature of Zomato?

The new feature will provide healthier options while ordering food. It will show healthier alternatives to a person ordering food. For example, it will show the option of roti instead of naan. According to the CEO it is for those who may order something unhealthy and then later regret ordering it. So, the new feature will give healthy option beforehand so that the customer has the option to choose the healthier food.

What Zomato CEO Deepinder Goyal informed on X

In his post Goyal mentioned - We just launched a new feature on zomato – gently helping our customers to make healthier choices (just in case you are subconsciously ordering something you may later regret).

To begin with, we have started suggesting roti as an alternative to a naan. We are seeing 7% attach rate for these suggestions, and we have received overwhelmingly positive feedback for this feature. We are soon planning to scale this to other dishes and categories as well. For example, if you are craving a dessert, we might show you lower calorie desserts as options when you add the former to your cart.
