After thumbs up, Gen Zers want to cancel the thumbs down emoji. Yep, as per them, a thumbs down is the most offensive hand gesture ever, even more, offensive than a middle finger.

According to Gen Zers, a thumbs-down gesture can be triggering just like a dislike button. They have now given up showing the middle finger as thumbs down is doing the job for them.

Specialists have also noted that the thumbs-down gesture has become a universal symbol of dislike across social media platforms, leading those on the receiving end to "to feel that they're being rejected by the real world."
