Avoid eating uncooked food
Uncooked food is a big no-no during monsoon season. One should also avoid street food, fruits and other food items that may have been exposed to mosquitoes and other microorganisms.
Increase Vitamin C intake
This is the time to build your immunity and the best way to do so is to increase your intake of Vitamin C. Include food items such as oranges, green vegetables and sprouts in your diet.
Protect yourself from mosquitoes
The mosquito menace is at its peak during the monsoon season. So, protect yourself by clearing out any stagnant water and applying mosquito repellent generously all over your body, before going out.

Avoid wearing wet footwear for a prolonged period of time
Wet footwear is a breeding ground of germs and bacteria and can also lead to you getting the flu. So, try to keep an extra pair of footwear with you and clean your wet footwear and make sure it is dry, before you use it again.
