Momos have grown very popular over the years and whether chicken, paneer or veg, we love hogging onto them. However, health experts have warned about this street food as it can be dangerous to our health and can cause long-term damage to the body. 

Why are momos bad for health? 

The dough for momos is made of refined flour commonly called maida and according to the US Department of Agriculture and Health and Human Services, consuming it can have adverse effects on health

  • Refined flour displaces healthier food from the diet.
  • Other than this, refined flour also raises blood sugar and insulin that causes metabolic dysfunction.
  • Refined flour lacks nutrients
