A social media trend turned lethal as it cost a teenager her life. A 13-year-old girl in Australia died after inhaling toxic chemicals in the name of trying a trend called 'chroming'.
The chroming trend which has recently garnered attention on social media, encourages people to inhale toxic chemicals present in aerosol cans, permanent markers, nail polish removers, hairspray, and deodorants, among others, to feel an instant high.
According to reports, there has been a major upsurge in the chroming trend post-pandemic, especially among Gen Z.
