Liver is an important organ of our body that performs a wide range of functions. From removing toxins to producing and excreting bile, to activating enzymes; liver does it all.
Recently, fitness influencer Abhinav Mahajan shared on Instagram, 2 ingredients that can reduce inflammation in your liver.
Ginger:
According to him consuming ginger is the best way to do it. Ginger contains powerful compounds like gingerols and shogaols that prevent our liver from cellular damage and inflammation. It also helps in protecting our liver against toxins like alcohol. It has been found that consuming 2 grams or 1 teaspoon of raw ginger once a day after a meal, for 12 weeks can resulte decrease in inflammation.
Curcumin:
Curcumin is the main ingredient in turmeric which is anti-inflammatory and is great in healing fatty liver. Curcumin can be consumed in the form of supplements. 1000 mg of curcumin for 8 weeks once a day after a meal is great for the liver.
