If there is one thing that most of us are guilty of doing, it is the over consumption of paracetamol. Whenever we have a fever, headache or body pain, the first thing that comes to our mind is paracetamol. But not many know that there are a lot of side effects associated with this drug.
In an exclusive interaction with Editorji, Dr Niranjan Samani expressed his views on how this drug can lead to health problems.

He said, "Regular usage and consumption of paracetamol increases blood pressure and increases the risk of heart attacks and stroke. Regular and unsupervised consumption of it can lead to nausea, vomiting and rashes."
He also stated how the continuous consumption of this drug could lead to acute paracetamol poisoning.
"When you are ingesting 4 grams per day or 75 milligrams per kilograms body weight paracetamol, this leads to damaging liver and kidneys. Treatment within 16 hours is required in such cases. Always take your doctor's advice and only when he prescribes it should you take this drug. Do not take paracetamol for every other headache or health concern."

He advised people to stop taking this drug if they develop any side effects and consult their doctor immediately.
