Kartik Aaryan has had a major body transformation for his upcoming film Chandu Champion. The actor recently shared that he has finally been able to relish some rasmalai after being on a no-sugar diet for a year. If you are inspired and are wondering what happens when one quits sugar, let's learn!

What happens when you quit sugar?

When you quit sugar, you may initially experience some withdrawal symptoms like low energy, mood swings and cravings. However, over time, your metabolism improves, you reduce the risk of obesity and related health issues. Your skin also starts to glow and have a youthful appearance. Your skin also gets less acne and pimples.

Cutting sugar can enhance heart health by lowering blood pressure and reducing the risk of cardiovascular diseases.

One teaspoon of sugar has 20 calories. This means by cutting sugar, you can significantly reduce your calorie consumption.

However, cutting sugar is not limited to not consuming white and brown sugar. Avoid jaggery, cold drinks and energy drinks. Make sure to never indulge in bakery products like pastries.
