According to a recent study conducted by the National Institute of Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism (NIAAA), American women have overtaken men in binge drinking.
The study data suggested that about 11.8 per cent of university females reported binge drinking after the pandemic as compared to 10.4% of men.
The Centres for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends consuming only one alcoholic beverage a day for women and the safe amount for men is two drinks.
