Thyroid is a disease that occurs in the thyroid gland. This gland is butterfly-shaped and helps in controlling the vital functions of the body. Hyperthyroidism occurs when the body produces too much thyroid hormone, while hypothyroidism occurs when it makes too little of this hormone.

Eggs 

The egg white as well as the yolk has nutrients that help in regulating the thyroid. Eggs contain good amounts of selenium and iodine.

Nuts and seeds 

Nuts such as almonds and cashews; and seeds such as sunflower and pumpkin seeds help in regulating the zinc content in the body.

Fish is a rich source of Omega-3 fatty acids and selenium. Consumption of fish including sea bass, cod, baked salmon, or haddock can help in replenishing selenium and Omega-3s in the body.
