There are various benefits of wearing seat belts other than saving you from paying a fine.

Here's why wearing a seat belt is important

Keeps you secured on the seat

If the car skids or spins, the seat belt also helps you hold on to the seat, allowing you to regain control over the vehicle.

Saves you from falling out of the vehicle

People who do not wear seat belts in the vehicle may fall out of the vehicle in case of an accident, causing serious injuries.

Saves several body parts from injury

The seat belt is placed on the waist and shoulders which helps in protecting your head, chest and abdomen. The seat belt also protects against brain and spine injury.

Helps open airbag

In many vehicles, the airbags open only when you have the seat belt on.

Helps you with insurance

Whether it is personal injury insurance or vehicle insurance, many companies reject insurance claims if the person was not wearing seat belts.
