International Beer Day : How much would you pay for a beer? Rs 200? Rs 500? Surely, not more than 1000 bucks. But there are, in fact, beers that cost well beyond hundreds or even thousands of dollars.

We’ve rounded up a list of the most expensive beers available across the world. Take a look!

The Lost Abbey Cable Car Kriek

Released in 2011, this beer is one of the rarest brews in the world. The Lost Abbey Cable Car Kriek costs $923 for 750ml and is available in cherry, grape and plum flavours. It’s so rare that during its release, there were only three locations where it could be consumed and the beer came with a no carry-out policy.

Brew Dog's The End of History

This Scottish beer has 55% alcohol content and makers recommend drinking it in small servings. The limited-edition beer by BrewDog will cost you a whopping $765 for 650ml. And believe it or not, the bottles are individually crafted using real animals that have died of natural causes.

Carlsberg Jacobsen Vintage No.1

This limited edition beer is aged for six months before being distributed.  Carlsberg Jacobsen Vintage No.1 costs $400 for 375ml. What makes it even more elusive is that it's only available in Denmark.

Schorschbock 57

This beer has 57% alcohol content. Well, is this even a beer anymore? Yes, it is. Schorschbock 57 is the strongest beer in the world. Expect to pay at least $300 per bottle if you can find one as it is a limited edition.

Duvel

This Belgian beer is brewed for 90 days before it is packaged and distributed. This is what gives it the bitter flavour. It’s one of the costliest beers in India and is sold for ₹750 but if you choose to have it in a bar or pub, it will easily cost around ₹1000 or more.
