Karwa Chauth 2023: Moonrise, date, puja timings and more revealed

The auspicious festival of Karwa Chauth is almost here. This day millions of married women across the country observe the Karwa Chauth fast, praying for their husbands' prosperity and happiness.

However, there is a lot of confusion about the dates of Karwa Chauth, and according to Drik Panchang, Karwa Chauth will be celebrated on Wednesday, November 1 this year. 

The fasting time is from 6:33 am to 8:15 pm, with the puja time lasting from 5:36 pm to 6:54 pm. The moon will rise at 8:15 pm.

The Chaturthi tithi starts on October 31 at 9:30 pm and ends on November 1 at 9:19 pm.

Karwa Chauth is also referred to as Karak Chaturthi, married women undertake a challenging nirjala fast to pray for their husbands' long lives, prosperity, and safety. This fast is observed from sunrise until the moon is sighted in the night.
