The star-studded Global Citizen Festival 2022, hosted by Priyanka Chopra was also attended by the 22-year-old Miss Universe, Harnaaz Sandhu. The beauty queen launched 'Global Menstrual Equity Accelerator', with a new campaign called 'Period for Change', which will fight stigma, influence policy, and secure the resources needed to end period poverty. Two other activists also joined her on the stage during her speech.

Harnaaz in her speech said that her mom is a gynaecologist and she has grown up talking openly about period without shame and she always had access to the products that she needed which is not the case for 500 million women across the world.

She urged everyone to unite for the noble cause and spread the word about 'Period for change' to end period poverty across the globe.
